House of Health Family Care
Kayla Speer, Family Nurse Practitioner
MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PCCN

Kayla is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who believes that exceptional healthcare begins with a listening ear and a receptive heart. Though originally from Illinois, Kayla has called North Texas home since her teenage years. Her journey into medicine began locally at Liberty Christian School, where she helped found the pre-med club and discovered a lifelong passion for anatomy and physiology.

Kayla’s clinical foundation is rooted in academic excellence and high-acuity experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, followed by years spent serving as a cardiac critical care nurse. This background in intensive, high-stakes environments sharpened her clinical intuition and reinforced her dedication to patient safety. She later returned to school to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

For Kayla, the practice of nursing is more than a profession—it is a sacred calling. She is dedicated to serving her community and believes she has been called by God to care for His people with both clinical excellence and deep compassion. Whether managing complex conditions or providing preventative care, Kayla treats every patient with the dignity, attention, and heart they deserve.
